Noticeably slower data access on my E71 and Straight Talk the last few days
I use my E71 for light web access, Exchange, yahoo and gmail synch.
The last few days have been noticeably slow, a lot of timeouts that I never saw before and I've been using it daily for the last six months. I've tried switching between the different access points (Tracfone browser, Internet, multimedia). Doesn't seem to make a lot difference.
Do you think straight talk has oversold their data bandwidth since they are now offering the SIM option?
Hopefully this is just temporary for me, but thought I would post to see if anyone else has notice an unexpected data slowdown.
what you are suggesting is that hundreds of people in your area got these sim cards ASAP and are bogging down the network. That's not likely. More likely is StraightTalk could have bumped everyone's connection quality down and are prioritizing AT&T traffic.
I noticed an issue Friday evening and some issues on Saturday... So far today it's been solid.
What soccerballtux and stonedcold are forgetting is that we all go through a proxy server in Chicago... If that proxy server is having issues it affects our data service (which is what I believe was happening)
Hmm, I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday, who has ST with a Nokia E71 but swap to an iPhone and he also noticed speed degradation. Hopefully it was a proxy issue that was being addressed. I don't want my friend blaming me for his service degradation.
I haven't had any issues with data from my E71 SIM card in an Android phone. In fact, I recently noticed that more towers in my area have the enhanced upload speeds, aka 2mbps upload. (Before I only got 1mbps up.)
I lived in Las Vegas used nokia e71. My internet in the past 2 days are bad, is on and off, seem like I have to reboot the phone to get it work for few minute than it not working again.
today mine has been on off again works good one time then no connection the next or i will lose connection with full bars... And when it wont connect it says no packet data available .... ?????
