My first question is about the add-ons. I remember there used to be an Unlimited Social Networking add-on that existed, but I recently checked the Rogers website to no avail. Did they discontinue it? If not, what's the price for it?
My next question is about HUPing and it connects to my first question a little. I'm under the impression that if you're on a voice only plan, and want to HUP to a smartphone, you need to have a voice and data plan. I was wondering what qualifies for a voice and data plan. Do I need to get a plan with x MBs of data, or does Unlimited Social Networking count as data?

Thanks in advance.
I think the discontinued the UMB a while ago. For a smartphone HUP, you generally will need a base voice plan of $25 (not including add-ons) and a contract data option. The combined total of base voice and data option (minus credits on either) must be $50 or more. BB's have slightly lower requirements, I think.
Carrier unlocked iPhone 4
Unlimited airtime, Unlimited CAN/US long distance, Unlimited SMS to CAN/US wireless numbers
2500 Call Forwarding minutes to CAN/US numbers
CiD, 6GB
Google Voice for visual voice mail with message transcription, conditional greetings, unlimited messages (vs 35 message cap), remote retrieval from any PC or phone, no auto-purge after 10 days and most importantly no $7-$8 charge.
Non-BB data plans used to include unlimited social networking but this was removed due to competition. There is still a $15 BB addon for Unlimited Social Networking which is considered data, and BB plans starting at $40 with Unlimited Social Networking included. There's also a $40 exclusive plan with 100mb of data for Smartphone Lite / older Smartphones. Otherwise you are looking at $50 +. There is also a $30 6gb data addon promotion ending in a few days which you can add to the $32 my10 plan with unlimited messaging for a total of $62 + GRRF. As far as subsidy they have changed the cancellation fee for data. Before it was $25 or $5/month up to a maximum of $100. Now it is usually the $400-$500 data subsidy depending on the device / 36 months x number of months remaining.
Thank you both for your response. I was planning to HUP to a BB 9900 and I'm currently on a student plan with no data on it. My mother's work has a offer from Rogers which is $25 and you get 200 mins, free after 6PM, VM & CID. I was thinking of adding the Unlimited Social Networking to make it qualify for a HUP to the 9900. But I still need unlimited texting and it's an arm and a leg for it. So I'm torn between going with Rogers' in-market $40 BB plan or a much better one, but risk paying a great deal more.
Just want to make a small clarification on eligibility for a HUP. When doing a HUP, do I have to abide by new customer rules to get the fully subsidized price? I.E. Minimum $45 voice and data plan. OR, do I just need to make sure that I have a minimum $25 voice plan with a data add-on. I think that's the last question I'll have for a while.

Your voice and your data plan must equal $45 or more before GRRF or SAF. Also your data plan must be on a 36 month term. Certain lower end blackberries only require a $35 voice and data MSF, can't remember which one's qualify though.
