Hey guys just wondering if WIND has capped the speed at 1.3mbps in Mississauga because every speed test I run comes in under 1.3 or it hits 1.3 and sticks there.
Anyone else got this problem too?
(using Galaxy S Vibrant a 7.2mbps phone)
Telus told me that I have to pay more than my monthly bill to continue using services.
So I said BYE TELUS! and Hello WIND!
I then tried Mobilicity, on the $35 all-in. Coverage sucked and then the Holiday Miracle Plan popped up...
So I said BYE MOBILICITY! and Hello again WIND!
Nope, I get more than 2mbps on a consistent basis. And even manage 4-5 mbps during off-peak hours.
where do you live?
I live at eglinton and creditview and travel around Mississauga often. To Cawthra Park, Mississauga valley, Credit Valley, Square One... etc. Only place I don't visit often is north Mississauga (Anywhere north of Brittania road).
hahahha i guess, seriously the area its getting pack here and going to get more apartments going soon too, sigh...
ya so i guess above 1.0 is already a good speed in mississauga, and depends how many ppl are using the networks in that specific area
i was in markham area near highway 7 and markham road the other day, i get like 5.0 to 6.0 of speed (if i remembered correctly), but that place is pretty empty hahahaha

My observations are primarily in east mississauga, however I also get great speeds when I'm near hurontario and britannia. The area around erin mills pkwy and hwy 403 is generally good too.
In fact, I'd say square one is the only place in mississauga I've found speeds to drop. Most other places have been good, if not great.
Are you sure you weren't drunk at the time. I've never seen near those speeds in Scarborough
Even if I were drunk, how would that affect the speedtest results? LOL
I've been doing a lot of these tests around the GTA over the past few weeks, and am generally impressed with the download data speeds I've been getting. I'll try and present the data in a meaningful manner in a new thread to hopefully provide a better picture.
