I want to buy a white Xperia x10 Mini Pro to use on Straight Talks BYOD program. Heres what i've gathered so far;
The phone has 850/1900 (which is what I need for ST right?) as well as 900/1800 for GSM Bands.
The seller description also says its 3g Compatible, As well as factory unlocked. So is there anything else I need to check for before knowing this will work on ST's BYOD? Like the MMS and Data connections should work?
The United Kingdom version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini Pro would have the 3G bands of 900 MHz and 2100 MHz, which would not work on any carrier in the United States. The phone would be limited to GSM voice and GPRS/EDGE data speeds. The line is bold is for the United States and the underlined line is for the United Kingdom. The phone does not have both sets of 3G bands.
Thanks much! I seem to have made a mistake though, It would appear the Xperia x10 Mini Pro and Xperia Mini Pro are different models though they look the same except those 3 buttons.
I'll try to look up the bands for the Xperia Mini Pro. The description for my seller says it has the bands I mentioned. But thanks if you would like to double check.
(but with regard, I found this info on the SE website on the mini x10 pro page;
- GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
- UMTS/HSPA 900/2100
- UMTS HSPA 850/1900/2100
Okay, found out HSPA is High Speed Packet Access, Which is 3G in the US right? But whats the difference between the Space and Slash?)

Just to be clear, the following are among the easily confused phones that do have North American versions that were released on Canadian carriers and would give you AT&T 3G:
SE Xperia X10 (Rogers)
SE Xperia X10 Mini (Rogers)
SE Xperia Mini Pro (Rogers)
SE Xperia Pro (Fido)
SE Xperia Arc (Rogers)
SE Xperia Ray (Telus)
BUT the European version will not have the right bands. If you're not sure which version the seller has, please ask them to send you the FCC ID number behind the battery, and then we can tell you unambiguously if the bands are correct.

If you're sure the one you're ordering is the NAM 3G variant, great. :-)
It's just that sometimes, even North American stores will have stock of the international versions.
Usually the SE 850/1900 versions have an "a" rather than an "i". Examples:
