Anyone using iphone with Virgim Mobile Prepaid in Vancouver area?

Hello everyone. I'm with Virgin mobile Canada for past 4+ years with their prepaid plan, $20 / month with 250 min. Never used web browsing with my phone but since my phone is getting old, I'm thinking about getting an unlocked iphone 4 (from someone who got the phone from Apple).

I want to figure out if someone else is using iphone with their prepaid account and how they feel about the data plan and getting free wifi in Vancouver area. Any comments will be helpful and i also have few things I'd like to confirm. Below are what I think but please let me know if I'm not understanding it right....

1. If I'm browsing only at the wifi spot, (like while I'm at work in the office or in starbucks) I don't need to pay for data. Is this right?

2. If the phone was bought from Apple, since it is factory unlocked, so it will work on virgin or If I go to Europe / Asia, I can just get sim and start using my iphone in there as well

3. What do you think about paying about $400 for unused iphone4? Sounds like a good deal?

)1 As long as you have wifi, all your data usage will be unlimited. Just like if you were to use you laptop on wifi.
2) According to you, the iPhone is factory unlocked, so it will work with any GSM/HSPA Networks in the world except for any provider that uses AWS HSPA1700Mhz. Eg. Wind, Videotron, Mobilicity & T-Mobile.(On TMobile it will work on there GSM Network)
3) $400 is a pretty good price for an unlocked iPhone 4. However you didn't mention the size of the iphone
