Hello everyone. This is the first of many more upcoming post here. My question is how do i upgrade to gingerbread from froyo? I downloaded Kies mini and it said that i have a unregistered phone. I have the sim swap goin on at this moment and i got to the screen where it displayed the phone model, but didnt actually allow me to update. So any help will be very appreciated. God Bless!
If you are getting a device unregistered message, try registering it at Samsungs website.
Wikipedia has announced that AT&T is planning to send an OTA ( Over The Air ) update out to fix the Kies mini issue regarding unregistered device. It's a patch based on 2.6.32.9 Kernal that blocks Kies mini from being able to update to Gingerbread 2.3.6.
