Seriously despite what you might see in print, reasonably I doubt this would happen in the next 10 years.

Fun with numbers the corporate boys learned from their accountants. Round 3.5 up and you get 4. Ignore the confusion on the customer's end as you're making bank. I think this stuff evolves so quickly that the SROs and legal system has difficulty keeping up and standardizing any sort of real objective benchmark for the average consumer. On the back end, as an executive whose primary fiduciary responsibility is to make money for shareholders you do what you gotta do.

Sorry son but if trolling is a result of Tapitalk NOT identifying this as the Canadian forum then so be it. But since Tapitalk does not identify this as the Canadian forum, bite me.
Probably shouldn't have said that but not everyone who posts in the wrong section is a troll and if Tapitalk did a better job at identifying sub forums here crap like this would not happen.
Ok it does but it says it at the very bottom of the screen where it was not visible when I made the initial post, and I didn't even see it for this post until I was leaving the page.
Either way, TT needs to identify the forum on the new post page so members know where and what not on the bottom of the post page where people will never see it if they don't read that far.

Who cares if you use Taptop or your secretary to post a message. You posted in the wrong forum. You made no apology and stated it's someone's fault. Typical american... sigh. This is a CANADIAN forum so please behave in a Canadian manner, eh?

Bell has launched an LTE network in a few cities, including Toronto.

From what I've seen so far, Virgin has made no official statement about an LTE launch. No devices in their current lineup supports LTE.

Also, to access LTE, you need a new LTE SIM card instead of your current HSPA SIM card. Combined with a compatible device, and probably with some switch to enable it on your plan in Bell's/Virgin's systems.
This seems to be relevant reading material:

I couldn't find the edit button to update my post when that info came out a few days later.

One question is still in the air though: what about LTE capable phones? VMC doesn't offer them yet, but someone could bring their own...

Didn't I already answer that adequately in the beginning of this thread? You could certainly TRY to run a Bell or Rogers LTE phone on Virgin, but chances are it would just use HSPA. This is because A) You need a specific LTE SIM to use LTE and Virgin don't have them yet; and B) even if that wasn't a problem, your account also needs to be provisioned for LTE, which clearly Virgin will not do.

Steve and live_strong: I am well aware of the three conditions (LTE SIM/MicroSIM, device, provision) required for LTE. And that VMC hasn't launched an LTE phone yet.

I decided to call VMC, but have doubts that the CSR I spoke to hadn't received much LTE-related information yet. To be continued I guess.

We have heard nothing about bringing an LTE capable phone here. Anyways, we only have LTE micro sims as of this time.
