I recently bought 2 Nokia E71s for the wife and myself, to do the SIM swap thing. These phones are crappy. One literally won't let me push a button without turning itself, rendering me without a phone essentially. I have already bought our other ATT phones for the swap. I wondered if I could return the Nokia's under the return policy, but keep the SIMs for our new phones. Every time I call in to speak with someone about a return, or ask them this question, the recording tells me that "due to high call volumes, they can't get to my call. Try back later". Anyone have any insight? I figured it wouldn't be a big deal to return them since the have the BYOD thing now, but wasn't sure. I don't want to get our other phones, and have the SIMs deactivated when we return the Nokia's.
If you return the phone they will cut off your phone service. Two different people tried it with the same result. Take the phones back and do the byod thing if you want to be cheap.
