    Randomly losing service?

My galaxy note has been working perfectly on straight talk for the last 3 months, the last week though I randomly lose just data service and it doesn't come back for hours at a time. At first I thought it was the phone but I tried 2 different roms and nada. My next step is to put my roommates AT&T sim card into my phone to test it out but not sure if he can go without a phone for a day that it usually takes for this problem to occur. Anyone else having this problem with straight talk?

You like this galaxy note so far? How have you been making out using the stylus?

From what I've been seeing here (I'm using a CDMA phone - on Sprint - so I'm not having the problem) is that ST on AT&T has been having data problems since late last week. Why? Only the gnomes at AT&T and/or ST know.

I'm seeing issues today on AT&T... random timeouts... works one second, quits the next.

A bummer because service has been great up until the byod was introduced.

I experienced the data timeouts but they coincided with sim swaping E71 sim to Atrix 2 and related the problem to some known issues with the Atrix 2. Reading the extra long BYOP thread some one points to problems in the server that authenticates the data service for ST users.

Using that clue what I figuered out is that enabling battery saving in the Atrix disconnets the phone from data to save energy and when you need data it reconnects, but with the authentication problems it fails to reconnect to the data service and you get a data timeout until it reconnects again.

I modified the battery saving settings to keep the phone data service connected during certain hours and since then no more data timeouts, at least for the period that it stays always connected.

Add me to the list of data issues. Lots of timeouts / could not connect to network during the day. Been working fine before. Using iPhone 4.

Seems like service is going downhill. Might have to look elsewhere.
