It's not like xtachx has been handed the keys to the Mobilicity forum and Howard et al just walked away. He has established guidelines he will be expected to follow, as well as people who he must explain his actions to, if necessary, and vBulletin's mod tools have safeguards in place to make sure that other moderators are aware of what he is doing.
Personally, I feel like xtachx is often overtly favourable toward Mobilicity in his opinions, but he's respectful to other members and regularly active here. As long as he follows the mod guidelines given to him (and I think he will), his personal opinions shouldn't prevent him from being a quality moderator.
