Wow thats odd. Hope fully they change that soon. The guy that started this thread said something about how most of the time if the coverage has been added to the map within the last 10 days its probably not on so thats probably the case with this.
How did you get the map to show the GPRS coverage?
I painted it in there by hand; it's an approximation. Basically urban cores are the only things with EDGE around here. I was (still am) frustrated how T-mobile lumps GPRS/EDGE together as "Mobile Web." There is ALOT of GPRS hiding under that magenta blanket.
Also, I took a small road trip yesterday. T-mobile is definitely over claiming 3G coverage in the new maps. There appears to be a new massive 3G cell near Jennings, LA (same cell identity for about 20 miles), but that's about it.
Thats ashamed that their map is over claiming, they really need to get their 3G coverage up to At&t and Verizon levels especially with LTE coming.

I see what you mean about the coverage being false. I typed in cameron La and it showed it had 3G data but then I clicked to see the signal level or voice quality and it showed no coverage. Im so confused....
HSPA coverage may just be shown as data rather than voice because of the many old 2g only customers who wouldn't even see this coverage. We all know HSPA coverage allows voice.
This is just too odd, unless they literally just turned up a bunch of HSPA today.
What's shown on compass is sometimes weeks or even a month away. I've seen coverage on compass that didn't actually appear in real life in Illinois for weeks often. So, it may just be a sign of things to come.
Apparently the personal coverage map is also showing the same areas to be covered with 3G, maybe this is current coverage that will be live pretty soon.
