Plan rates got jacked up, service credits removed, retention will not offer anything anymore, LCA shrinking and massive HUP policy changes ...

What other extortion services did I miss?

Its unfortunate, but its the true reality of this country we live in. We as the people are contributing to everything that happens. The stupid system has to change in every way possible.

When the economy is great, we're paying from our pockets to contribute to the profits of these corporations. When the economy is falling, and these corporations are losing, we are the ones who are paying to fix this economy.

Look at everything where our tax money goes to, and then when the our country is not doing well, its us who will pay for damages for these big twats.

When the hell is a normal Canadian ever getting ahead in this country. Look around, fewer and fewer Canadians are getting the better end of the deal. Its becoming harder and harder for Canadians to afford living. All the banks, mortgage brokers, and the real estate agency are making money....., but when this bubble bursts.....who the heck will pay for it. It will an average Canadian who will fork the money but yet he himself won't be able to afford to buy a home.

Alot has to change.....my opinions pertain to an average Canadian who works hard and contributes to the betterment of this country.....but yet can afford to better his own life because we're giving all of our money to run these corporations, and this government.

When this economy bursts, and the real estate market falls, and companies are going under which has already started to lay off people......who do u think will pay for it. Its the average Canadian who pays.

This is the reality, at the end of the day..........we're always left with the least amount of pennies in our pockets because we have to feed the people who least care about the betterment of our living.

The reality is the money doesn't go those who need it, it goes to these greedy scavengers who not only give back but also wants us to bail them when they are in trouble.

Look at our banking, seriously the money is never allocated to those who really need it, but to those who actually just want more when there are people who need it more.

Heck we send billions of $$$$ in aid, but yet we can't feed our own in this country....
    Go figure,
Everything needs to be reformed in this country from our immigration, welfare system, the revenue, business, and most importantly our paycheques.......

This is only my opinion, and I hope again that I haven't offened anyone.

I remember back then when calling Hong Kong was $0.24/min while long distance within Canada was $0.30/min. Totally backwards.

I called Hong Kong for 1 minute within the last 6 months, then that was when I realized it got jacked up to $0.75/min. Up 312.5% from $0.24/min
There was never any notice for this price hike, then I realized I that line was off contract... Meh...

If they weren't that sneaky I wouldn't have cancelled 2 lines with them. Only paying about $26 dollars on no contract basic voice retention plan with Rogers right now.

And frankly, the price for this stuff should be falling, not rising.

I use a phone card for international calls. 2 cents a minute for most places. Screw me? Ha! Screw Rogers. Time for a wake up call.

TORONTO — Rogers Communications Inc. is increasing its dividend by 11 per cent as fourth-quarter profits and revenues both improved, beating analyst expectations.

Well, with these profits, I wonder how they're going to try to justify these rate increases.
    Rogers:
    Unlimited Canada-wide calling, 2500 sent SMS - $35; 6GB Data - $30 less $10; Call Fwd/xfr - N/C; Local UMA - N/C; Value Pak - $10

    Moblicity:
    $23 BTS

Yes so Rogers made money you do not like them make money stop BUYING stuff from Rogers......

Back in 1983 at the birth of modern cell phone technology few people had them, they managed to live with out a phone stuck in their ear everywhere they went. Nobody in the last 25 year or so made cell phones are requirement of life, so I suggest one one 3 courses of action,

    1) Stop using Rogers and go some place cheaper
    2) Stop using cell phones all together
    3) or if for some strange reason you can not use Skype or this Rogers One thing pay Rogers and stop whining.

Me if prices get too expensive and they have not because I never go over my plan limits I would pick 1) but I could cope with 2)

For the people that do not understand Rogers is not selling food, they are selling an unrequired luxury and if I was with Rogers I would charge what ever I can charge to maximize profit.

Look at koodo and mobilicity LD rated to other countries.

If Rogers wants us to believe that Hong Kong LD cost them 75c/min, we ain't buying that bull anymore.

Also, how is it that a mobilicity/wind customer roaming on Rogers pays 20c/min but Rogers OWN customers pay 45c/min????!!!

The bigger problem will be how will they justify to the government that they continue to need protection from the big bad world. It's easy to make money in a monopoly or oligopoly partnership. Rogers and Bell were given an almost 20 year head start. We'll have to wait and see how they do in free market, if and when the Tories follow through on opening up the industry. I feel bad for those employees that would undoubtably be let go to cut costs, but life can be hard and Rogers needs to make money.

    Treatz, I'm confused.

Why did you post that statement in this thread, where there seems to be little or no acrimony? Was there previously some that got deleted?
