Somebody confirm about using WIFI Calling and plan minutes?!

I myself have the unlimited talk/text and 5GB high speed data, but I'd just like to know if when using Wifi Calling on post paid customers if it uses plan minutes if you have a limit on voice minutes?

I keep reading different opinions that it does use plan minutes and then I read that it doesn't ..which is it? And please confirm ONLY if you yourself have seen it deduct your minutes on account or bill.

I have free wifi calling, but i logged onto my.t-mobile.com and went to change services and added the Free addon that gave free wifi calling under extra minutes. (on postpaid, classic plan.) thanks to this forum. Check that out.

If you don't have the free wifi calling addon, it counts against your minutes normally.

    +1 to above reply
GoogleVoice (domestic call forwarding and cheap intl. calls)

T-Mobile lines on unlimited "family" plan - me, wife. Cost is about $80 a line incl. 5GB/mo. data on each line. We have had no landline in 7 years

The Value Plan, Classic Plan, Even More and Even More Plus plans should all have add-ons as danska describes that will permit free wifi calling. If you have one of those plans and you don't see it as an option on your account online, then you should call customer service to add it.

Your minutes will count against your plan until you add the option specifically.

It looks like you can add it yourself online as well.
