I just came back to Verizon yesterday. I get a 21% discount. I was told that the discount only applies to the 30.00 unlimited, or the 5GB and greater tiered data plans, and not the 30.00 2GB one.

So I'm tired of ATT's shenanigans with my unlimited data. They've pissed me off for the last time. I hate them.
I am moving to Verizon. Want to get two $99 Gnex's from Amazon Wireless. I went into a Verizon store today to price out plans. I am interested in the 700 minute family plan with the $50/10gig and $80/20gig data plans. The rep told me because of the double data promotion, my 22% corporate discount would not apply to the data.
What?
I asked on other forums and got a mixed bag of answers. Some said corporate discounts don't apply to data plans ending in .00, only .99 (i.e. the standard price of $29.99 for 2gigs). Some say it won't apply to the $30 2--> 4gig plan, but will to the $50 and $80 plans.
Is this true? Since $110 of my bill would be for the data portion, I cannot forego the 22% discount.
Any Verizon reps here with advice (that's valid)? I'd hate to order from Amazon Wireless and be locked into their iron-clad agreement with no data discounts.

Discounts for data only apply if your data cost $50 or more.
Thanks.

they have slowly screwed the customers more and more. I get my 25% discount on the $30 unlimited data.
In the past few years verizon sure has stuck it to the customers.
I just did a test by starting an order from a site for my employer. The data discount showed up on all data plans of $50 or higher. The post from tybo31316 is 100% correct.
I get a 20% discount on my $29.99 grandfathered unlimited 3g data ? will I loose it if I upgrade to a 4g phone. I was told I could keep the unlimited but if I loose the discount I might just stick with 3g. I do not need blazing speeds if its gona cost me a fortune.
I just want to say thanks for voting with your wallet.
I did the same thing (AT&T to VZW after they were screwing with my unlimited plan), and I'm glad to see others are expressing their displeasure with AT&T's questionable practices.
If only the other 15 million unlimited plan users on AT&T would do the same thing...
Discounts apply to the old $29.99 unlimited. On Tiered plans they must be the $50 or above plan.
Well yes, If I lost the Discount it would be IMHO a fortune based on my average usage levels. I just do not want loose the unlimited in the rare case that I might need it. If it were truly unlimited with no strings attached @ only cost $29.99 a mos then yes it would be a bargain but we all know VZW's idea of unlimited is only around 2gigs until you could get throttled.
