LG 800g and the dreaded spam / loop texting problem

Wife has her cell phone LG 800g with f/w V10d about a year old keeps getting a spam text over and over, even if some sends her a text she gets the same text....as if its hung up in a loop.

I googled this and found this to be a known issue with the older 800g with this firmware and seems that TF was having people send it in for replacement. She called tracfone and the CS acted like they didn't know about this and they did something and it will take 4 hours for it to go in effect (I call BS on that)....in the mean time she still getting the texts and has gotten about 100 over the last couple of days.

Has anyone seen this issue get fixed without replacement?

No they have not.
I don`t recommend you accept the Moto touchscreen as a replacement even though it sells for more, ask for the 800 with f/w V10E

Post your problem on Tracfone Facebook page. They replaced my 800 with the same issue you describe with another 800 in just a few days.

TF called the house last night at 9:46 and after another 20 mins of them trying this and that "Finally" they decided to replace the phone with another LG800..... wish they would not of wasted sll that time on a known issue and just replace the darn thing! Will make sure its a 10e when it arrives
