I would uninstall the unlockit profile and download tetherme from Cydia. Then you will be able to manually enter the APN values through the carrier settings.

I am trying to set the APN on my Iphone 3GS to the straight talk settings. What is the easiest way? The phone is unlocked and jailbroken running iOS 5.0.1 Baseband 6.15.00 if that matters...
I've tried unlockit.co.nz but noticed i can't set the values straight talk listed...
StraightTalk said to set to:
1.Create a new APN with the following values:
•APN Name: Straight Talk
•APN: att.mvno
•Proxy: proxy.mvno.tracfone.com
•Port: 80
•MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
•MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.33
•MMS Port: 80
I would uninstall the unlockit profile and download tetherme from Cydia. Then you will be able to manually enter the APN values through the carrier settings.
So I u set all from tetherme it will work including mms.

I'm not sure if the 3GS is different from the 4S, but on the 4S, there isn't a place to put all those fields, and yet it works just fine. You can find the answer to your question in this wiki:

If you're already jailbroken, then the easiest route is going to be for you to get tetherme, and then you'll be able to edit the APN settings through the iPhone settings app.
