    June 1st Samsung announced sales of over 7 million Galaxy Note, averaging sales of 1 million devices per month.

    "Almost no one" sure is buying an 'awful' lot of these "hideous" GNotes, huh?

    TMO has the Note now, and it looks like (I could be mistaking)will also work on ATT.

    I would love to see your sources that you based your conclusion that no one wants a "hideously large object" on. My guess is you are generalizing and projecting your opinion on the rest of the population. If you actually do some research the GNote has sold over 7 million units, instead of pulling 'facts' out of thin air. Regardless of whether or not you want it, some people might, me included. For verizon to skip on this phone was simply foolish and ATT had the forethought to get US exclusivity on it while it could. Luckily this world has options, and I don't see how Verizon getting a phone that you don't like affects you in any way what so ever, or do you like the alternative they they have been going with for the last 6 months, as in not getting any top of the line phones except new colors of the RAZR up until the GS3? Until Verizon forces you to buy the Galaxy Note I would stop complaining and let the rest of us who do want it hope that we get the Note 2.

    Verizon has continuously held or tied for having the best Android lineup of any U.S. carrier since the OG DROID. They are continuing that tradition with the current best Android phone in the U.S., RAZR MAXX, and also far and away having the best keyboarded device in the U.S., the DROID 4.
    I usually support government regulation, but It is unfortunate that the government over-regulated and killed the AT&T/ T-Mobile Merger
    The best explanation of the pricing nutiness in the industry.
    Why Sprint and T-Mo will always suck.
    The only way to end the pricing insanity is to eliminate contracts and subsidies.
    I want Wifi calling on AT&T.
    If you text while driving, you're an idiot. End of story.

    I almost never use my phone for voice, 99% of it is data usage. I am almost thinking of just using my VZW phone as a hotspot with unlimited data and just buy international devices like the international version of the Note/Note II, if Verizon will never get their own CDMA version.

    You didn't answer the question. You continuously trash the choices and desires that others have in phone choices and ridicule those devices they express a desire for. So provide some sources about how nobody wants a hideously large phone such as the Galaxy Note, for which Samsung announced sales of over 7 million units on June 1st, while averaging sales of a million/month since release.

    What impartial agency publishes these evaluations? I'd be interested to know the runners-up in each category. Do you have a source link for us?

    I tend to agree that the D4 may be overall "the best keyboarded (cellphone) in the U.S." But it's still not all that good. I expect The Surface Pro may prove to be better as a keyboarded mobile device, albeit not Android.

    That's all you can respond to when you're proven wrong? No "I'm sorry, I had no idea it was such a big seller." No apologies? Most guys like big phones. Small phones is so 2004.
    One burning question that will remain with him until his dying days....."Was my victory really worth the price I had to pay?"

    I have one, and can tell you that they aren't for everyone, but for a focused group, that includes me, they are killers! It's actually the best phone I've ever had for my type of use.

    For most smartphone toting users I believe 4 inches is perfect (isn't the next iPhone going to come in at ~4 in.), or maybe 4.3. What you don't know is that GSMinCT hates Samsung, and has said so many times in hofo! Thats fine, he is entitled to his opinion, just wish he would tell us when he post some of these fictional stories.

    Seven million handset's is a lot of focus, I'd say.

    I don't what's driving GSMinCT. He's not a dolt, but he also seems to have a thing about anyone who wants to use a smartphone to it's full capacity.

    I'm no fan of Samsung; got the S3 just to save my subsidy and NE2. This Gnote is an innovative design that took a lot of flak when it first came out, but has still done very well. And the S3 is a very nice phone that by going all Qualcomm bids fair to ditch many of the old 'Samsung' issues. I say we give it a chance before trashing it.

    And the SIII has a 4.8 inch screen, just a tad bit smaller than the Note. And just a few days after the unveiling, Samsung had announced that they had already had 9 million SIII's preordered, and a recent article indicates that the company says it expects to have sold over 10 million by the end of July.

    DX - 4.3"; SGSIII - 4.8"; GNote - 5.3"

    Half-inch steps. So, if the S3 is "a tad bit" bigger than the DX, then the GNote is "a tad bit" bigger than the S3.

    Ball park (not precise) size ratios:
    DX = ~18.5
    SGSIII. = ~23
    GNote = ~28

    With my declining eyes, the difference between 4" and 4.3" is noticeable. I am going to take a good look at the new SGIII and any 5" or larger phone released in the near future, just for the larger screen size. If the new iPhone isn't at least 4" and preferably 4.3" or larger, I won't spend much time looking at it, other than curiosity.

    No I don't understand his drive to constantly insult any phone with a screen size larger than 3.5" or his propensity to scream that anyone using a smartphone differently than he does is stupid and/or insane. He often makes very good points on other topics, but many of his rants point towards his being a control freak.

    Yeah, I hate Samsung after some prior experiences. But I have to admit, they are currently offering some tempting products. So if they receive positive reviews from actual users, I'll have to consider buying some of their current/upcoming products.

    The larger screen sizes are definitely appealing to many buyers. But I have to admit, at 4.3 in screen size, it's creeping up at being too large for my pocket, meaning it probably wouldn't be my carry at work phone and more of something I'd use off duty and in situations where I'm not as dependent upon the phone being there for immediate access.

    I hated Samsung too, I bought the original 7 inch tablet when they first came out, two months later they orphaned it by saying no upgrades for me! The arrogance was killer. But now:
