All iPhones on P+ over here are operating just fine. No reports of accounts MIA.

Do you get your voicemail when you call your iPhone number from another phone? If so, then PP may have just swapped your # to a "dummy" phone. If so, just get another phone that's allows on PP, switch to this phone and all should be well again.Originally Posted by sarahbees
So heres what happened. Some stupid dealer ported my number. He ment to port a different number, and as everyone knows the defalt pass code is the last 4 of your cell phone. But they were able to get my number back on my iPhone...and im happy again![]()
I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.
Hi everyone,
I received an unlocked iPhone 4S from a friend in Australia. I was wondering whether I'd be able to port my current PP number to this iPhone? Judging from the posts here it seems like it'll be ok, I just want to make sure![]()
Oh sorry, I meant that I just want to transfer my current PP service from my current flip phone to my new iPhone (while keeping the phone number). I thought that was called porting as well...
Well, as I stated in a previous post, I was able to activate my iPhone 4 just by calling customer care and talking with a CSR. It seems that many other people have had success doing this as well. However, I don't think that we have heard an 'official' statement from pp as to if they allow the iPhone or not.
I would try to give customer service a call when you have the iPhone and ask them to do an esn change (don't call from your pp phone).
As always, YMMV.

I was wondering the same thing. Even though the 4s is a world phone, I don't think an Australian iPhone will work with Verizon. If the ESN isn't in Verizon's database, and why would it be, then it should not activate. The Australian iPhones come unlocked, but that only relates to the GSM side of things, as I understand it.
Ok, I was under the impression that the Australian iPhone would work with Verizon since it's a world phone, but I guess that's not the case. I don't have the iPhone right now to test it, but if things aren't working out I guess I'll just tell my friend to keep the iPhone.
I found an article the explains the unlocking situation, and currently I understand it as this: AT&T iPhone can't be used with a CDMA network; Sprint iPhone won't activate on Verizon; Apple's unlocked iPhone doesn't work on CDMA networks. And an unlocked iPhone purchased overseas won't work on CDMA networks either. *dizzy*
So now my question is: if I want to use an iPhone on PP, does it have to come from Verizon?
