Well, I hope this is an isolated incident and that PP isn't going to start booting iPhones. I get better reception with Verizon, but if I had to, I guess I could go with an AT&T MVNO. I would hate to leave, but I would hate to give up my iPhone even more.

haha as a one-time loyal android user myself, I feel the same. I can't go back to an android. as cliche as it is, the iphone really does just "work" which is worth the premium and slight trade off in raw technical power that you get with it.
I would switch to AT&T (ST) before giving up my iPhone as well and I think one of my relatives is going to go ahead and transfer preemptively now because he wants to avoid downtime if de-activations do occur since he uses his phone for business.

I'm new at this. Where do you get a VZ iPhone for PP use? Apple only sells a VZ iPhone with contract and its unlocked phone is AT&T only. Do people just pay the ETF to go to PP? I am assuming unlocked means the same thing as no contract.

The person I bought mine from let me check the MEID number first. Also known as the ESN.

I bought mine from a reputable seller on eBay. If you do this, make sure that the ESN is clear.
Some people do pay the ETF and come over from Verizon. Depending on their usage, it can be cheaper to do this.

Quick question - I saw this morning there is a new software update. If I download this will I have to go through the *22890 process? I don't think I had to previously when I was with Verizon, just wanted to confirm, thanks.

Nope. Just download iOS 5.1.1 and your phone will restart when it is done.

Activation shouldn't be a problem. Just use an online dealer if you're not comfortable calling Customer Service. You can even use Page Plus' website to activate the phone.
$350 is a good deal.

I am comfortable calling customer service, I just don't want to hear them say iPhones are not allowed after I spend $350 on a phone! The live chat feature, is that what you are referring to for online or is there a form? I fear rejection that's all LOL!

That's a pretty good deal. I paid $325 for a 32GB black iPhone 4 that is almost a year old.
