Flaming, name calling, snide remarks and you

    A friendly reminder everyone:

Flaming, Name calling, insinuations or snide remarks against another user is against rules.
No matter how frustrated you are in a situation, or thread, just don't do it.

Let's treat everyone here with respect and start with the basics.

If you see such behaviour against yourself, report the post.
if you see such behaviour against your fellow posters, report the post.

only through co-operation will this be achieved.

Nobody should feel intimidated to post a question, thread or similar situation because of a backlash.
This is an open community, and one of the busiest forums here

let's all remind ourselves of this.

If you have any questions feel free to PM Astroboy-ATM or myself, or any other member of the moderating team.

Thanks, Treatz! I couldn't agree more. You can make your opinions known, without resorting to personal attacks, and flaming. If you feel flamed, hit the report post button, but don't fire back a retort, that only escalates things.

If only the mods in the Android section would implement and enforce the same .... Tried reporting someone, who was obviously trolling others, but it was ignored ...

This reminder was very needed. Good job. Now hopefully everyone can treat each other with respect instead of attacking everyone that has different opinions then themselves.

A great reminder. Thanks Treatz! Can you describe in general, the escalation process when a user is reported? I don't think I'm alone in having reported a particular poster over a long period of time, but nothing seems to have been done. Thanks!

basically, it's going to be kept very simple to get things back on track
if you see something like that happening, or have that happening report it.
the moderating team will obviously take a look and go case by case but there is going to be a lot more awareness going forward.

Thanks for this. I bet many people hesitate from starting discussion because they don't want to be flamed for having stupid questions.

As my old teacher used to say, "a stupid question, is one that is never asked."

Wow, I'm not a Rogers client and have plenty of issues against the company (especially with home services), however you guys seem human compared to the Wind Mobile and Mobilicity members, very rare someone posted this and simply applauding. I guess you guys get a lot of abuse from others and why you posted.
