    Time stamp on text msg are wrong

    I have Galaxy Note unlocked from bell and im using it on Rogers, when i get a text msg the time stamps are wrong by 5hours... Now its 17:35... If i receive a text it will show 12:35. Because of that the whole thread msg gets all messy... How can fix that?

    Wow that's crazy... I have to d/load a app to get the right time on my text msg lol

    I think this is an inherent Rogers problem. It doesn't only occur on Android. If you ever have a phone that relies on Rogers to display SMS time stamps, then this problem will occur. Take the suggestion Treatz provided and be sure to escalate the issue to Rogers tech support, so they realize how many people are experiencing it.

    I can't say I've ever had this problem on my Nexus S. No fix needed.

    Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyears ago, phones started having this problem. I'm reflecting now, that even after all this time, it still takes a 3rd party app to address what should otherwise be the MANUFACTURERS' duty.

    Why haven't Providers (OKAYYYY, ROgers) to date been able to OOB fix this kind of a seemingly simple glitch? If anything, they should be able to OTA provide a fix? Rather have the smart Clients figure out to come on such a forum and be pointed in a direction to fix it? What do the remaining Cx's do?

    I'm curious what Rogers' official position is and what CS Reps at technical support offer as the solution? Pls don't tell me they say go dl it from Android market? lol.??

    I didn't even called in for this problem... I really thought it was android related. I've been using all the iphones Rogers have same for blackberry's and never had such problem... Now im on a android device, and for the first time i see this problem... Crazy people are saying Its been years and the problem still persist... Oh la la Rogers!

    Is it only a problem with using phones from another carrier? I currently have the Note that I purchased from Rogers and the timestamps are all correct.

    That is correct, Rogers devices don't exhibit this issue because the Rogers software is 'fixed' for their version of a device.
