After testing out the AirVoice $10 monthly plan, I decided there just wasn't enough available data for my needs. I went back through my AT&T PayGo account and tracked all the minutes I used since the first of the year. I used the phone for voice a total of 24 days and 71 minutes the past six months!!! I would call that a light voice user. So, I was able to go back to AT&T under the $1 smartphone plan and add 1gb data package.
I didn't track all my data use during the same time (too many to check). Most are smaller hits for twitter, email and such. But, AirVoice still seemed to be eating up my balance pretty quick.
So, I decided to move the AirVoice sim to my wife's phone for her to try out. She is the exact opposite of me. She has been on the 10 cent AT&T plan for a few years. She rarely uses data on her phone (maybe 1 mb per month) This will cut her costs in half. (it seems like I am reloading her phone much more frequently than mine)
The one thing we have noticed is that both her and I have gotten a lot of survey and spam calls when using the AirVoice Sim. In fact, since switching back to my AT&T sim, I haven't received one spam call. But, she has complained that she gets at least 2 calls a day from out of area.
I registered her number in the Do Not Call Registry yesterday, but I thought it was illegal for telemarketers to contact cell phone numbers? This should be something that I assume AT&T takes care of and AirVoice should too. Unless Airvoice is helping the telemarketers in hopes of having you run through your minutes quicker.
Anyone else notice an excess of Spam calls on Airvoice?

Is there rollover? Tried searching but no results came up.
So I tell the swamp donkey to sock it before I give her a trunky in the tradesman's entrance and have her lick me yardballs!

thanks. i got data working on the dash. it is a two step process - one for porting and one for turning on data. even though i asked for data at the time of porting. i just made my best guess at settings based on the settings for different phones. interesting observations: the account/voicemail pin is the same pin as my former tmobile tgo vm pin - i didn't have to set it. at&t call quality on airvoice (at&t's fault) is way inferior to tmobile and even sprint where there is signal. also do they charge for 611 calls or retrieving voiemail? i don't think i was charged.
That's strange. I bought SIM cards from eBay that I activated online on the PAYG plan. The I added funds and set the APN settings. Data was on by default from the start. I never had to ask for it.

Is there any strategy or way of stacking up data on the AV 10/month plan?
money cannot be stacked and you can't autopay. You enter a pin every 30 days or whatever you run out of money.

So just wondering here, let's say I get a $60 Airvoice GSM Monthly Plan. I should have then 1 GB of data available for 30 days right?
Could I then add $10, 3 days before the the 30 day expiration and roll over the remaining data or will the data just expire after 30 days no matter what I do?
Data packages included in a plan DO NOT roll over, no matter what you do. If you do not use it by the end of the 30 days period, you lose the remaining data. See Terms HERE
