hey yamanote, no is not it actually seems like Docomo pays them for the app and they offer it to their users for free however in the updated version the anshin scanner will check if you are using Docomo or not as it checks the SIM to verify is indeed Docomo.
bummer because the updated anshin scanner looks much better and is faster but the older version will do as long as you dont update the app (only virus definitions)....if you do unninstall the scanner and install avast!

I have just performed full data reset on my SH-01D because of random reboots lately. My main suspicion lies with the Anshin Scanner. So far (7-8 hours) I haven't had any issues (knock on wood!). But, anyway, I don't think you really need anivirus for your phone.

I see, I only tried it for a few minutes and figured I wouldn't need antivirus for my phone. Never did bother trying to figure it out haha

I have a question, how do you get the sheep to go on the home page display? I got the Note and want it to appear like I did on the Docomo before. I downloaded both links... but the sheep doesn't show up, it's just the app icon when I drag it to my home page. =S thank you

You have to add it as a widget. It'll show up in the widgets screen as "machi chara". Thats how I added it to mine.

Does the sheep butler walk around your home screen, and also wear random clothes (like that frog outfit for Wednesdays)? Much appreciated if you could test that as my gf wants to get a softbank phone but she doesn't want to lose the sheep

Well it doesnt really walk around the home screen, it walks around the row it was placed on. And for the frog suit, I'm not really sure if it wears it every wednesday. It's thursday and the maid sheep is still wearing the frog suit. I'm assuming you meant that martindesu? I think the frog suit thing is related to the weather.

That's correct; on Docomo keitais, the male sheep will put on the frog suit on wednesday (water-day in Japanese) during the rainy season only. I don't know if this lady sheep will always wear this outfit during this time of year or not... I have her on my Docomo but specifically wanted to know if she struts her stuff on Softbanks or other androids because my girlfriend won't switch carrier without the sheep

Well I changed the chara to the male sheep and he's wearing his regular butler clothes. I then changed the date to Wednesday and what do you know, he changed to the frog suit.

How do you get this Machi-mara to show on the desktop in the first place? Does it only show on the Docomo launcher (horrendous)? I use the Sharp launcher (HOME).
The sheep bulter only appears on my screen in the locked state, when I have a missed call.
