According to UK Magazine: What Mobile. Nokia latest phones for CeBIT 2002 have been disclosed. they include an enhanced version of 6310, 6310i with Triband technology. Of course, at this stage, Nokia has not confirmed the reporting. We will wait and see till next week.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some leaked notes on Nokia's new range of phones to be shown this week at Cebit. The biggest shock of all is that there are no colour screen phones among them!
6310i - The 6310, with tri-band facility and Java capability with 300kb of memory to store applets in.
9210i - New software with MMS functionality and Shockwave Flash compatibility. New hardware includes an MMS slot and more, faster memory. No upgrades will be available between 9210 and 9210i, as some of the new sofwtare is dependent on the new hardware.
3410 - Nokia's new Gaming Phone, the 3410 is a 3350 with MIDP Java with 150 kb memory, and full EMS capability. Thats it.
3510 - Details are sketchier on this (due to the poor Danish translation I was reading), but it features a 'customisable keypad', polyphonic ringtones, and MMS, though quite how MMS will function on a phone mooted to have a greyscale screen will be interesting - sound only?
All these are due for release in Q2, except the 9210i, which is due in Q3.

ivwireless... dang what kind of job do u have ???
I am SO envious dangnabbit![]()
I'll let you in on a little secret. I have a friend at Nokia who purchases ton's of the latest and greatest phones from me. He is in the comparative anaylsis department. They dont think twice about paying whatever im asking for on any given phone. So I have that little connection that allows me to sometimes play with some of the new toys. But I can only get things that they are allowed to show or give out. I was told that once this 6310i is announced to the public that he has the green light to give me one.
I am drooling already
can I have one for a testdrive ?hehehe
just kidding, dont want to get you in trouble![]()
I can tell you one thing, this phone is not geared for the changeable faceplate crowd. Its strictly a business phone
I never was into teh changeable faceplat deal
my X had a 6210. I dont particularly care for the 62xx 63xx styl but I would use one if triband![]()
i don't usually care for the changeable faceplates either but if got a 6310, i would change it because the tri-colour scheme is butt.
Even the bluetooth works better with the 6310i. When you move the volume on the bluetooth headset it shows you the changes on the phone as well.
Ivwireless:
Do you mind to upload some of the pics. of this new gadget? I am sure everyone would LOVE to see this baby.

As soon as he sends it to me , it would be my pleasure to share the pictures with everyone
Technically won't the 6340 be GSM1900 capable as well...
the 6340 will be 1900 GSM, TDMA 800 and 1900 and AMPS. It will not be triband GSM, which is what these guys want - they want it to be 900/1800/1900 GSM, for use abroad. Personally that would be useless to me and the vast majority of users in N. America; in the rest of the world, having 1900 GSM would be useless for them, as 900 and 1800 is all they use..There is a niche market for it though.
