Bought a flashed HTC EVO, need help

Bought my friends flashed HTC EVO. He was using it on MetroPCS with no problems. I too have Metro and I was wondering how to set it up. I have CDMA workshop and I am able to connect it. Just need a little help

if it flashed already to metro i would assume u would just have to take it to a store to get ur service switched over to that phone instead. they would just pull the battery from the back and grab the long number on the back and activate it on ur account.

Dial *228 activate it on your account the should be able to ota program it if not ##000000# enter your min/mdn. Then with the correct drivers and Ian debbuging on dial ##3424# and get your port connect to cdma workshop and write your user names and passwords, then flash metrodroid Rom for mms.

hello everyone ive acquire an htc evo 4g from my brother and thru many sleepless nights and days of searching and pouring every little ounce of reasoning into this project. (wich i found to be a very exciting trip) i manage to flash it to metro i took it to a store where i had them add esn to their network and i followed all steps from many a guide out there and finally flashed metrodroid 4.0 i booted my phone and it seem like heaven to have all ur hard work ,and others finally culminate in success. but there is something gnawing at my brain. no mms so finally ive decided to get help from those who have achieved this before me.
as im a new to all this (i tought messing with pc was exciting phones r very exciting) so i turn to u
LOGIC4L 3VIL can u help me.
i have a rooted htc evo 2.3.5 flashed metrodroid 4.0 everything works except mms and evrytime i try settings it gives me dreaded application has stopped. i would appriciate any help i can get TY i advance

Check your apn settings. Go into message settings and connection make sure their metro settings also mms doesn't send over WiFi.

Take the pic then send it from messages not the camera.

When i flashed an Evo 4g it took a while for mms to work.I was able to recieve but not send pics but after a while it was working.I created a new message then pressed mms,chose a pic from the gallery and sent to myself to confirmed and now everything is good.Doesnt that rom eliminate the need to edit your apns anyways?

hello once again my fellow companions in this trials that drive and excite us. i finally got it to work for some reason everytime i take a pic go to galleries and send it it never happens and i notice that the size displayed in the pitcure information would b something like 900 kb but when i took it with camera and send it immidiately it would be about 150 kb and would b sent. so i dont mind having to take pics and send them right away as thats what i end up doing when im working anyways. THANK U GUYS VERY VERY MUCH i feel like i can kiss each and every one of u for all the help ,yes that happy and LOGIC4L 3VIL trough all the reading ive done ive seen u help ppl solve many problems so i would like to say THANK U.

The more you practice and read it will help you to flash other phones.I too started off not knowing anything but thanks to everyone here i somehow have beginner knowledge.

i know. theres a certain thrill in learning and being successful in fixing something now im hooked and wanna continue doing other phones now.idk if thats a good thing lol
