Just purchased the LG Optimus Q from Straight Talk and I've had occaisons where the phone locks when I get incoming calls. Besides loosing the call, I have to remove the battery to restart the phone. Has anyone had this issue with this phone? If so, would appreciate any help you can provide....
daback, could you please comment on your overall experience with the Optimus Q? I'm interested in this phone as my iphone 3gs on the Att network is a pain in the rear with MANY dropped calls here in the greater Sacramento and Bay Area. I see that the Q runs CDMA Sprint network and they generally have very good coverage/signal strength in N. Ca. PLease post your likes/dislikes on the Q. I like the fact that it has the latest Android 2.3.4 software which, from what I have read, makes it a pretty smooth system. Thanks much!
Jimxx200, I'm on my second month with ST and the Optimus Q. With the exception of the issue of "locking on incoming" calls (which I eliminated by reducing the # of runnung apps). The phone is perfect for my purposes.
I'm pleased with the call quality and the 3g data access we get in the Metro Chicago area. My next area of concern is the nationwide coverage of my ST CDMA plan. Calls to and from the Houston and Orlando areas to my home network are comparable to my previous carrier(US Cellular). However, the issue of major concern for me is the coverage I will have while traveling to and visiting those areas. I willl get to test that in the coming week in my drive to Orlando, I will post my experience for all concerned in the coming days.
I was having the same problem. The solution was to change the WiFi sleep setting. I asked this question on another forum and the solution was in the Wireless & networks>wi-fi settings>menu>advanced>wi-fi sleep policy>never. This will lower the battery time some.
