I noticed Redmond, WA is lit up if this hasn't been mentioned before.
I noticed that on the map too and couldn't find anything about it. Seems likely it's just for the Microsoft employees to be able to play with their Nokia Lumia's on LTE...
AT&T is busy working putting LTE on the towers in Omaha..seen a crew working at a tower and stopped by and chatted with them for a bit. He acted like it would be on soon. He said they were also working putting LTE on Us Cellular towers also.
Finally about to unload Sprint and I was curious if anyone has checked or knows what kind of speeds you're getting with AT&T On Long Island and in NYC itself?
Win if you can, lose if you must.....BUT ALWAYS CHEAT!!
Screenshot from this morning. The legend has a category for 4G LTE Coming Soon with a star on the map......but there aren't any! It looks like AT&T is completely stalled on their LTE deployment with nothing to announce or tease, which is what this page is supposed to do. I know they aren't stalled at all, only rolling out LTE to very few places, but this is just strange.

The screenshot was taken straight from AT&T's website this morning: http://www.att.com/network/

That map is just wrong, there is HSPA+ w/EB in Montana now, yet it shows only HSPA. I'm sure some map maker turned into a nap taker after too much work, and this was the result.![]()

Any idea if Columbus, OH is going to be getting it anytime soon? Don't see it on the map. Verizon has it here and I may be moving over when the new iPhone is out.
What will you gain on LTE on an iPhone that you don't have on HSPA+? The only thing that I can think of is true HD streaming and web cam/Skype video. I've done Skype over hspa+
AT&T... your world, throttled.
Verizon's LTE blows away hspa+ in cbus, indoors too. check out the comparison done by root on youtube in the polaris mall.
Latency will probably be the biggest difference thats 'noticed'. Not many apps on the iPhone / Android make full use of speeds. For the most part, WiFi (my phone will hit +20Mbps / 40ms) and 3G are hardly noticable. The only time I noticed any real difference was when I was throttled to EDGE like speeds. Even then , Skype voice and streaming radio worked well. Kinda makes me think of how 'noticable' it would be going from 3Mbps/512kbps ADSL to Cable... 95% of the time, I never noticed the difference.
I've hit 14Mbps on 3G and ~90ms (though not from the same site!).
Where I live in Los Angeles area, there is no LTE by any carrier. Fastest I'd get would be from T-Mobile, next would be AT&T. Sprint doesn't even have WiMax here.
