I recently replaced my iPhone 4 front glass LCD screen and digitizer. I bought the screen from a local iPhone supply/ repair store. I followed the directions from you tube. I am 100% confident that the install is perfect and no other parts were damaged.
After replacing the screen and reassembling the phone, the phone started perfectly. But when I lock the phone the screen will no longer display a picture. All I get is a glow on a black screen. The glow tells me the screen is on. I can unlock the phone by swiping where the slide to unlock should be and I hear the unlock sound. This leads me to believe that the screen I got is defective.
Has anyone else had this happen? Is a defective aftermarket screen a common thing?
