So Im upgrading to a galaxy nexus and I have a huawei 8100 that I have the unlock code for. Unfortunately with wind on occasion Im unable to get a signal, especially if Im at the edge of a coverage area. So I was thinking of getting a sim card from virgin or fido and a prepaid card with no plan (just pay like 35 cents a min or something like that). Does anyone know if this phone will work on fido or virgins networks? for just voice or for voice and data? and if data will it work with 3g or just 2g? I also heard that the galaxy nexus is sold unlocked and works on all networks so could I just switch out sim cards? or would I have to spend a lot of time reconfiguring the phone each time I switch the sim card? I would appreciate your help with this.
