Downloading ringtones into ringtone folder on sd card?
I want to download some ringtones for my phone. I just purchased this Motorola Razr a few days ago, and I know they have an app on their to purchase ringtones and install on your phone. I don't want to have to pay Verizon, for something I can download for free from other sources. I did download a couple of songs to my "music" app which was already on the phone. But, I cannot figure out how to get it into my ringtones. It doesnt appear in my ringtone list. I can connect my phone to the computer, but dont see a file stating ringtones. Can anybody be of assistance?
thanks,
Jim

Make a new folder on your sd card and name it "ringtones". Put your ringtones in there and they will show up right along with the default ones.
And custom alarms and notifications sounds can be put in their own folder as well (alarms in "alarms" and notifications in "notifications").
And I'm pretty sure those folders need to be all lower-case. If I'm remembering correctly, when I made a Ringtones folder, the tones didn't show up on the phone.

Sounds right.
Also, to keep it simple, you can put all the folders in the same folder. Android doesn't care where the folders are. Like make a folder called "tones" (or whatever), then put the notifications/alarms/ringtones folders in there
