So today I was actually throttled. Data speeds have been between 60-120kbps and I couldn't be more sour if you soaked me in lemon juice.

Hell, the supposedly "throttled" results shown above would be a wonderful improvement from what I get all the time.

VM data is throttled by definition.

Is Verizon an option in your area? They still offer unlimited data on prepaid.

Maybe the event was just freak coincidence (albeit a very coincidental one). I've seen speeds of up to 325kbps recently. The speeds aren't always that tremendous but it's apparent the throttling isn't horrible.

Could be the implementation varies from area to area with some areas getting hit harder then others, i.e. congested urban areas while more rural locations, it might possibly not be as bad.

Unlimited is still unlimited but the meaning of it is most definitely changing. Still faster then Simple Mobile's $40 plan though.

300 in/300 out after getting throttled. It's much more than enough for continuous audio streaming.

Is it just me or do they throttle a ton more occasionally? Like they want a lawsuit?

I can still watch movies through Crackle via my slowed phone. Seriously. They get pixilated fast, but still, I'm using throttled service with two bars while tethering to another phone that's working as an MID. That isn't bad.
