    Lightbulb Day 17 Update about Parkway Investigation

    It's Day 17 since my Mobilicity Parkway purchase. Here's a brief update on what's transpired since my original post. I have been extremely patient with Mobilicity and respectful not to respond to Parkway's inadequate response.

    1) ===============================================

    * Mobilicity initiated an investigation against Parkway Mobilicity aka Monster Mobile @ 85 Ellesmere in Toronto (next to Metro)

    * Liana (Mobilicity Rep) promised Mobilicity Corporate's finding could be provided by March 21st - she agreed the allegations are serious

    * However, it's March 26th and I haven't received Mobilicity's reply

    2) ===============================================

    * Based on what was explained to me, both Parkway and Mobilicity contacted HoFo & RFD to remove Liana's contact info. Parkway suggested this thread was being used by their competitors to defame their reputation and staff

    * HoFo initially locked this thread but determined it was OK for me to continue posting - Howard/Mods are awesome for allowing this open discussion, Thank You

    * Vincent (Parkway) continues to suggest this is a misunderstanding that can be solved by training his staff

    * I reserve my right to forward this complaint to CCTS and law enforcement

    3) ===============================================

    * I will update this thread after Mobilicity contacts me

    * will refrain from engaging Parkways' staff on this forum until I receive word from Mobilicity Corporate

    * HoFo members can PM me if they'd like to discuss this offline

    * HoFo members can contact Mobilicity directly: feedback@Mobilicity.ca

    Proof of Purchase

    There were initial suggestions that my post and other members were inaccurate or "out to get" Parkway because we were competitors. Or as Vincent suggested, customers were committing fraud by taking their purchased phones elsewhere.

    I can't respond to Vincent's point of view right now. But here is my March 10, 2012 $598.90 receipt and $145.90 plan payment as proof of purchase and identifying Andrew (Parkway) as the staff handling my credit card and personal info.

That receipt is no problem for claiming any warranty in Mobilicity store including my store.
    if you guys give this exact letter size receipts to everyone then I wouldn't mind accepting this receipt as well.. but as 7jaii has posted, you can see that his receipt is the original one which should have been issued to me as well (Not the MasterCard receipt, but the other one). But my receipt doesn't even have any GST/HST# or any legal registration number of the company which must be there on any invoice of the company for the tax purposes, and to ensure that the receipt is real. He even forgot to print the date and I had to give it back to him to remind him that there is no date on the receipt, and when I did, he just wrote it down with pen and stamped on it so now it's not even readable... LOL...

    And I remember perfectly that you entered all the details of the phone and my account into your computer (not POS) when you sold me the phone. So, there is no excuse that you forgot to put it in your POS... You forgot it because you wanted to avoid the taxes and wanted to make more money then you would have gotten through a genuine sale even without discount.

    The price of phone without discount was $300 + tax.. and in this case he got $316. Nice game!!

    I'm sure there are mechanisms that are even more effective than mobilicity if you have run into a location that is screwing around with things involving taxes such as not giving receipts.

    And Im sure no dealer would want to be audited, so probably in their best interests to not only be completely correct,
    but also to APPEAR to be completely correct.

    These people are pigs when it comes to business and customer service. They ripped me off sold me a defective phone, came back the next day after the phone was purchased. The poor excuse of a manager Vincent, who is the biggest prick of them all told, me to come back once problems got worse. Came back 2 weeks later now that phone was completely falling apart, Vincent makes me send it to warranty for repair, quotes me 3 weeks. Gives me a temp phone in even worse shape to use for a $50.00 deposit, after 3 weeks speak to Ada my sales person, gives me an attitude, tells me it’s a 6 week wait not 3 hangs up. Each time I called Ada always answered, the most miserable individual I’ve ever had to deal with, kept hanging up, never put me through to a manager. Head office calls on my behalf; Vincent tells him the phone will be ready the next day. I came back to the store to get my phone, they replaced it with another piece of crap that was refurbished, and was DEAD ON ARRIVAL! Vincent tells me I have to send phone back again and wait 6 more weeks. These people completely disgust me, they sell crappy phones they buy online, don’t honor warranty and the second you start having problems they treat you like garbage. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PRICKS!

    This place is a joke

    These people are pigs when it comes to business and customer service. They ripped me off sold me a defective phone, came back the next day after the phone was purchased beacuse it kept shutting off on its own. The poor excuse of a manager Vincent, who is the biggest prick of them all told me to come back once problems got worse. Came back 2 weeks later now that phone was completely falling apart, Vincent makes me send it to warranty for repair, quotes me 3 weeks. Gives me a temp phone in even worse shape to use for a $50.00 deposit, after 3 weeks speak to Ada my sales person, gives me an attitude, tells me it’s a 6 week wait not 3 weeks, yells at me for getting the information wrong, then hangs up. Each time I called Ada always answered, the most miserable individual I’ve ever had to deal with, kept hanging up, never put me through to a manager, and would not update me on where my phone was or when I would be getting it back.

    Head office calls on my behalf; Vincent tells him the phone will be ready the next day. I came back to the store to get my phone, they replaced it with another piece of crap that was refurbished, and was DEAD ON ARRIVAL! I couldnt use the phone at all. I call Vincent, he tells me I have to send phone back again and wait 6 more weeks for repair. I told him that its not right that after owning a phone for two weeks that I should expect to wait 3months before I could use it. Vincent says too bad, was a complete Jerk, I told him his staff was rude, he laughed at me and said " u think just because of one complaint I would have a talk with my staff? not going to happen" He didnt care that they his team hung up on me, or that they made me drive all the way down to his store after 6 weeks to pick up a phone that they didnt even bother to check. No sorry, no nothing, all Vincent kept telling me was "This isnt my problem. Send it back" These people completely disgust me, they sell crappy phones they buy online, don’t honor warranty and the second you start having problems they treat you like garbage. I am beyond disgusted by these people. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM EVER!

    I contacted the CEO, after reviewing my file he had a brand new phone ready for me to be picked up at square one.

    Please contact stewartlyons on his twitter page. you will get a call in a day after posting your complaint. Its the only way to shut these guys down and resolve your issues.

    After so many complaints about this place, it is surprising that they remain in business and head office is tolerant of the behavior. Says a lot about the type of company Mobilicity really is.

    Same thing happened to me. Vincent charged me $20 for a SIM card on a new activation and new phone. He created an account but did not let me know what the answers were to my account so I had trouble calling mobilicity to verify my identity. Mobilicity head office refunded me the $20 and said that they would look into his business practices but it his gotten nowhere. This was a bit over a year ago. According to a mobilicity insider, head office can't touch Vincent because he does the most activations and brings mobilicity lots of customers.

    This place is terrible, I walked in there today asking to buy a new phone, the guy gave me the worst attitude and was rude .

    Not going back there again. I just wanted to know if they were going to sell the Nexus 4 soon.

    scammers and fraud

    we recently had a very poor experience with monster mobile at parkway mall.

    case and point, stay away, they are crooks!!!

    my mother in law came in with my wife to get a phone. they sold her an open box model and told her it was brand new. we came home... the sd card was missing, the charger was missing, amongst other things. they went back immediately asking what was going on.

    andrew, their little sales agent, is a little full-of-**** liar. he is the little clerk who looks like an umpa lumpa with a fru fru mushroom cut and thinks he's a big man because he rips off every other person who comes to the kiosk under the leadership of his scamming boss.

    came back and said we wanted a NEW phone. they charged her full price despite the fact that the phone was on sale at $50 off (a 3-week running promotion that was still on). the receipt clearly showed the discount which was automatically applied, which they re-applied as an additional charge to pocket the money.

    also, i am personally reporting this person to the Canada Revenue Agency, he puts cash under the till after every transaction and doesn't give proper receipts and paperwork.

    he is rude, has no customer service, kept telling me to come back in a couple of days and not to complain to head office or he would do nothing. i complained to head office, they said he owed us $50 and to go back to the store and he would give it to us if we brought the receipt.

    when i went back to the store, he refused despite head office stepping in. i'm keeping it simple to get the facts across but case and point, mobilicity is doing nothing to prevent this ongoing behaviour.

    i'll be setting up a website dedicated to letting the world know of mobilicity and their scams. i'm sure with enough people on an official site we'll get the attention of both mobilicity and the media, and put a stop to this pathetic behaviour.

    See my above post. I sense that head office wants to turn a blind eye to the shenanigans because this outlet is really busy. I shop at that mall from time to time. Invariably there is a line up at the store or there is someone there yelling at Andrew. That guy is a real salesman. I think he could be really successful at a car dealership.

    I can confirm that guy is a crock; he tried to sell me an opened box when they had a promotion; I said no; check the promotion it is for the selling a new phone not open box; after several moments of dispute he made me wait 25 min until finally he gave me a brand new one; take care first he is trying to rip you off and then if he realize you cannot be tricke he serves you properly.

    Re: Problem with Parkway Mobilicity (Monster Mobile) @ 85 Ellesmere in Toronto

    There's another Mobi dealer in Parkway Mall, Rizvi Electronics around the middle of the mall. They may not match MM's super-aggressive pricing but they'll treat you better, probably.
