I am just wondering out loud here is it possible to separate a telephone # from a grandfathered plan like the unlimited data plans? in other words switch the phone # with a different account but keep the grandfathered plan just operating with a new #?
Fido, as a policy does not do number swaps. There are ways in the system to do it, but new directives have been sent to all employees NOT to do it.
Following a recent event (with a popular HoFo member), a notice has been sent to every employees asking to follow the exact procedure & business rules...
They clearly said then the only same brand migration allowed (From a Fido account to another Fido account) is from a prepaid account to a monthly one...
Sent from my GT-P7500R using HowardForums
Fritz Z24...
Who was the hofo member?
And ... Does that mean a TOR from one fido customer to another is no longer possible??
Like no more transferring unlimited data?
just port in a new number to the grandfathered plan, you will keep the old plan but you will have a different number with it. problem solved
My Feedback
I put the "Ho" back in "HOFO"
Paolo, how is that problem solved? OK what happens to my existing number that I had on the account?
you said you want to keep the plan, and use a different number on it?
where is this different number coming from? how bad do u want it
Your not suppost to keep the old number after you port in a new number, you keep the new number with the grandfathered plan,. if u want the old number, you leave it as is and do nothing.
Yes, I wanna keep the plan but also use the phone # that is on the plan with a different phone and different plan
^Did you read my response? LOL. You can't do it anymore.
do u mind telling us what plan is it? why not just change your plan to the one you need? and if u need a new phone and a new plan open a second line?
He wants to keep the unlimited data plan. The whole point is to put the number on a different account and get a new one for that specific line. Main point: HE WANTS TO KEEP THE CURRENT NUMBER, BUT MOVE IT TO A DIFFERENT ACCOUNT WHILE KEEPING THE PLAN THE OLD NUMBER WAS ON.
if its a data only plan ie pdata/zdata, with no voice line, then he can simply open new voice package and get a new number. if its gpunl and a voice plan and he wants to detach them, then he is shii out of luck
