    change phones but keep number

I checked the "new to page plus" but it says "check the free services on top of this thread" I must not be looking in the right place.

I just want to change my phone. I had a droid 2 but i'm changing to a palm pixi...I want to keep the same number can someone help me?

What you are looking to do is called an ESN Swap.

You can call Page Plus directly and they will do it for free. You may have to wait on hold for a few minutes.

actually, just to clarify, what you want is an "ESN Change"

a swap involves having 2 phones and switching which phone number is on which phone. an "ESN Change" removes the ESN that is currently on a single line and replaces that ESN with the new ESN from the new phone (the Pixi) leaving the old phone (Droid) not on any line.

Not a huge deal but if you pay any online dealer for an ESN Swap that is not the actual service that you want. If you call PP (which is free) they will instruct you that you want an ESN Change. Hope that helps.

I'm being picky here, but it's actually an ESN change. An ESN swap involves swapping two phones and two accounts.

EDIT: looks like I was typing (slowly) while deathcab was posting.....sorry bout that.
Having to wait even an hour to get a prepaid wireless plan pin from an online dealer or pin seller is NOT great, good or even mediocre customer service when you consider this instant internet age we live in. Why let anyone convince you otherwise? Understaffed is what it's called.(Two is not a team)

I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.
