Save the $$ and go to PP directly, either online or call CS. CS will generally waive the $10 normal activation fee and there is no fee for porting in a number through PP CS. I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.

Also, if you are keeping your number, you can just use the online port form on the pageplus website -- it seems to be working a lot better lately and should be pretty easy to get up and going. you can always call pageplus customer service and check your status if things haven't pulled through in a couple hours.

(select option 2: "I want to activate a phone and port my current number.")

If you are doing a new activation, like tracnet said, call in and they will likely waive the activation fee for you. otherwise, you can get dealers on eBay to activate new lines for $0.99 or less:

According to Denny from PPC, the $10 activation fee IS charged for activation using the PPC online form, but if you call PPC CS, activations are free. Ports initiated using the PPC online form ARE free, as well as ports initiated by calling PPC CS.

i just got a Motorola A855 for my wife and tried to port over the esn myself. Kept failing. Went to e bay and found this new guy kennerlyconsolerepairs2012 and for a buck got it done. I'm not affiliated with him or anything, I just got great service, he answered my questions and got it done in literally 2 minutes. Anyway, I was worried about activating it, but i just let the auto activation do it. THe phone when you first turn it on it says it needs to activate (get your number first from pageplus or do what i did and port it first) then you just select to activate form phone, it dials out, you wait and its done. Nothing else to press. I was very impressed.

I havent figured out how to only sync a few things. Like I dont want my gmail contacts as my phone contacts.

    Anyway, hope this helps someone.
