MyTouch 4g won't connect to PC
So, I've tried every way possible to get my phone to mount my sd to my Samsung laptop every since I got it when I needed to add lets say a song to my sd card I plug my phone it just charges and my computer doesn't recognize it and my phone doesn't realize its plugged to my pc.
I've tried several solutions that worked for others like changing the connect to pc options also downloaded PDaNet and it didn't work..
tried USBDeview too I don't know why but thinks its not plugged in.
And I've tried different market apps for mounting the sd card it don't work.
Any clue on why it might me doing this?

Sometimes I have a hard time with this. If you can get into the SD card and Run the HTC driver, that might work it out, but if you cant even read it, make sure your cable is a proper USB cable. SOme cables are cheap and or old and cannot transfer data. USB 2.0 or 3.0 also check to see if you have a 2.0 or newer port on your laptop. also try to fully restart or remove the battery for a few. Not sure what could cause this to happen. But i usually restart or check my cable, sometimes if its not Fastened in all the way it wont rrad it as a Mass storage.

I had this problem. My solution was to replace the battery with a new one.
Now when I plug the usb cable into the PC I have options on my phone.
