Hofo likes to randomly jam ads in the side of some posts... I guess it's better this way than adding them in the sidebar (resulting in a wide page).

Sometimes keywords like 'iPhone' or 'eBay' get automatically hyperlinked to the manufacturer's website too... strange forum this is.

As said by everyone else the former is easily remedied with adblock

Adblock takes about 1 minute to install, them nothing else to do. I forget I have it, and detest using the net one computers without it.

A month ago, I opened my website (http://sharp.cheeseus.org) and saw there were no ads on it - I'm trying to make a buck or two a year there - so I started examining my code, and testing the scripts locally and then on the remote server - in Chrome and then in Mozilla... then I sent an email to Google Ads support complaining I can't see my ads. They told me, ads were showing fine... I'd completely forgotten I have Adblock on both Chrome and Mozilla, ROFL!

Well its actually 27000 reservations capable at the Docomo shops. Because 3000 of them are being reserved for pre-order through the EVA STORE in Tokyo. No word on pricing yet, but Im assuming its gonna be close to 10万

I know that this will kinda sound like a dumb question, but would it theoretically be possible for me to reserve an SH-06D NERV out of those that you will be able to obtain? I mean, I know that you'll have a hard time getting your hands on even a few on them, I'm sure of that, but you mentioned that you're getting pre-orders for it now and I wonder if that's even possible...

Actually I haven't been taking any pre-orders after the first 4-5 people who messaged me months ago

Because realistically I don't even know how many I can get from Docomo

Would really love to take pre-orders for this phone, but with the limited release, I think I would end up disappointing alot of people if I were not able to get enough immediately.

I think its best to wait until the release, as even though it will sell out, it doesn't mean there won't be some floating around

Its actually worse if you consider the fact that the ACTUAL exchange rate (minus bank or paypal rate) is about 2 to 3 yen less than the current exchanage rate. So if you are calculating at 80yen per 1 US dollar, its more like 77yen per 1 USD

Then you factor in Unlocking + shipping + 5% paypal fees. easily more close to 1400-1500

Sooner or later someone is gonna release that SH-06D EVA NERV theme, and probably there will be stickers for the back of the phone, so that it looks exactly like this one. I guess getting a normal SH-06D, that theme, and that sticker for the back would be a cheaper option for the ones who want this phone

Yeah of course, but I think alot of the people who want the phone are those diehard EVA fans or collectors. Because I've gotten over 500+ requests for the phone in the past few months, and I immediately warn all those people, about the estimated price of the phone, and still more than half say they do not care and are die hard EVA fans and want it for their collection

Of course the rest of the people who just want it cause of the cool UI and design of the phone will be satified with stickers / cover + download / install UI. But the true fans, won't settle for that

Also probably cause the phone comes packed with alot of other EVA related stuff

You be surprised at some of the countries where these hardcore EVA fans live. I have a very good customer in Saudi Arabia, who wanted me to get him 4....one for use, one for display, one for storage collection, one for his son. He sent me photos of his EVA collection room, its the size of my entire Apartment filled wall to wall with crazy collectables
