Does anyone have a recommendation for an easy to download and use web browser for the TRACFONE LG800g? I recently tried to download the Opera Mini app but it did not work well. I am new to this forum so please bear with me if I ask dumb questions.
Thanks

You should be all right with a signed version of Opera Mini 6.5. Enter the following into the url box and then connect:
http://m.opera.com/?act=lp&tag=mini5...en-us&cert=all
If this doesn't work, I will see if the address has changed.
I am using opera mini on my Moto EX124g. It seems to work most of the time. The other option, Bolt, shut down about 3 months ago. I don't know of any other alternative to Opera Mini than the brouser built into the phone, and it's very slow.
I need to correct my above post so that the url isn't messed up:
Leave off the quotation marks.
Tracfonecruiser, the topic is about the LG800g. How does the Moto EX124g pertain to the LG800g?
Tracfancier ,The question is about the LG800g. I have the LG800g. The question is not about other models.
I'm having the same issues. Like LGK100, I deserve my tag of "where is the power button?"
What is the best way to download the Opera Mini 6.5? Is it to go directly to the site with the LG 800g or are we better off to go to the site with our PC to pick up the file? If we do that, do we need to have the micto SD card installed to transfer via USB cable because the computer won't talk to the handset?
On the site, there isn't a specific download for the LG 800g. Which one are you choosing?

If no one answers you and you do not find it by searching the threads try this method
On the phones browser go to http://m.opera.com and scroll to the bottom of the screen and click "Other download options"
Then click "Select Code-Signing Certificate" below "Options for Opera Mini 6.1"
Then click "All Certificates
Then click "Download Opera Mini 6.1 (English (USA))"
Opera mini works fine on my LG 800. You must have done something wrong during the download.
My suggestion would be to uninstall it and reinstall it.
The link Lisme gave ( http://m.opera.com/?act=lp&tag=mini5...en-us&cert=all ) worked well. I d/l it to my PC and transferred and installed to my phone. Opera has a nice look. Thanks for the link !
I'm ready to do this, but there are a couple of choices to make. This is what the site looks like now:
Choose an application
Download Opera Mini 6.5
Select preferred language
Transfer this file to your device, and install it:
opera-mini-latest-advanced-en-us.jad
opera-mini-latest-advanced-en-us.jar
6.5 seems to be the default version. Do I want the jad or the jar?
Here is what you need to do. Start at the main screen of the phone. Press the blue dice button. Press the Browser button. Press Enter Address. Type in "http://m.opera.com/?act=lp&tag=mini5®ion=en-us&cert=all" BUT DO NOT INCLUDE THE QUOTATION MARKS THAT ARE AT THE BEGINNING AND THE END. They are just there for message board purposes. Press Connect. Go Online Yes. Press where it says Download Opera Mini 6.5. Press Continue.
