Can I use my tablet as a hotspot for free?

Using my XBOARD tablet it lets me use Tethering & portable hotspot without any pay for notice. Can I use my tablet as a hotspot for free? ATT wouldn't let me, unless thats changed too! And will a Verizon Lte phone do the same?

This Lte is killing me, it's about the same speed as my Comcast service!
Google’s goal appears to be nothing short of world domination. The technology giant may be working toward a future where it powers our smartphones, our tablets, our computers, the services we access on our devices and the networks we rely on for connectivity at home and on the go.

iPad data agreements include using the iPad as a hotspot with no additional fee.

You absolutely can, however data used over the hotspot feature comes out of you standard data allowance so proceed with caution.
Verizon Wireless - More bars in more places on the now network.
Every time you ask whether you can use a VZW smartphone without a data plan, God kills a kitten.
And by God, I mean me - and by kitten, I mean many kittens. So many kittens.

Not me, I'm livin large! J/K, I usually only use 300-400MBs, so I'm good to go!

Comcast was down and I needed to enter a few invoices to get PAID, so I used it thinking I would get hit with some kind of fee, but didn't care!

They don't care. You just need to stay under the GB cap.

Thanks, good to know! It just hit me, my tablet could double cheaply for a hotspot for another WiFI tablet, lets say a Google Nexus tablet when they come out.
