Can existing straight talk customers go to straight talk byod w/o losing #?

Family member has ST, but the phone is crap. I have an old iPhone I'm going to give her for the ST BYOD, is their any way for her to keep her # and get the SIM card for the BYOD program?

Just buy the sim... Once purchased you just transfer the service from the other phone to the byod sim and there you go... Get to keep your number and remaining service!

Use option transfer from straight talk phone to another straight talk phone using the information provided on the byod red activation card.

There is an Option on the Activate/Reactivate tab on the website for switching from one Straight Talk phone to another.

Please select how you would like to Activate your phone:

Activate phone with a new number or Reactivate phone.

Straight Talk will assign a number based on the zip code you provide.

Transfer my number and service from one Straight Talk phone to another.

You can transfer an existing Straight Talk number to another Straight Talk phone.

*Note –Your coverage may vary depending on your phone model. For more information regarding your coverage, go to the Support tab and select the Service Area Map.

Activate my Straight Talk phone with a number transferred from another company.

To successfully complete this process you will need to provide the information indicated below about your current service.
This information can be found on your billing statement or by contacting your current service provider.

    -- Your Account Number
    -- Your Password or PIN*
-- Your contact Information as it is registered with your current service provider

*Some service providers may not require the use of a password or PIN. If you are unsure whether or not you have one,
please contact your service provider since you will need this information to complete your request.

You should ask for AT&T-compatible miniSIM card for all iPhones except the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. You should ask for the AT&T-compatible microSIM card for those two models.
