RSS is using up my data

Hi I have noted that RSS is using up a lot of my data bytes using data manager. How do I get around this or turn this feature off. This seams to be native to android and I am not able to uninstall it. Hoping someone on hear can shed some light on this and what the work around is for it if any at all. Thanks.

Or turn data off when away from wi-fi.
Or use one of the data use limiting software programs to only let the rss software use wifi.
Or take a hard look at your software settings. Mine has a setting for "only download when on wi-fi."
