I'm ready to add my wifes phone using $80 / 2000 min / year plan.
I am looking for a secure / honest online PP card retailer, need recommendations.
I keep hearing about bonus or special deals, is there a retailer offer such on the $80 card?
I googled and came up with Pinzoo
Once of the features I expect, is I do not want to leave my CC info with that company or site. My previous prepaid provider was locus, but I refused to buy refill cards from them because they forced you to leave your CC info with your online acct setup. So I bought from a little company I found that gave small discounts, but your CC info was always a 1 time thing and gone after the transaction was complete.
Ditto. No problems purchasing PINs for three PP phones. They also have frequent discounts that are listed in the above thread or on the CallingMart Facebook page, but you have to spend at least $20. CallingMart also has a frequent buyer program so you can earn points toward discounts. Create an account with your first purchase and begin accumulating points.
Last of the voice-only dumbphone users.
Be sure to go to their Facebook and or their twitter accounts to get the updated discount codes.
trying to come up with better signature.......
I've been using PinZoo with Paypal for years. Never a problem but they don't usually seem to have any discounts.
Pageplusdirect has %7 discounts on all purchases.
Pageplusdirect is the best period, Reed Venturella is an awesome guy and will pick up the phone when you call, yes, a human being will talk to you! Plus you can buy into excellent discount brackets....look at their site, it is great. Why wait for 5% at other places when you get 6% always at Pageplusdirect...
Another vote for Callingmart.com. Their discounted rates apply to credit card purchases. Pageplusdirect seems to only offer better rates if using a checking account withdrawal. Too much risk with that style of on-line purchasing for me. I once had my debit card info. stolen from an on-line merchant, and fraudulent charges started coming directly out of my checking account. I had to daily go to my bank to cancel them. I'll only use a credit card to purchase anything on-line now.
I think I have seen others mention that they have set up a bank account specifically for buying from pageplusdirect. I'll just take my callingmart savings and call it good. I know most of us are here to save money, but 7% vs 5% amounts to 60 cents a month on the 1200tnt.......just not worth the extra messing around IMHO. As far as buying into savings tiers - it seems that is hardly ever a good deal and just seems too gimmicky to me.

You don't "buy into excellent discount brackets". There is no fee. The discount % is based on the size of the INITIAL purchase, and that discount level remains for life (as long as they stay in business, and unless PPC changes their wholesale rates), no matter how small subsequent purchases are. It IS an excellent deal. I've used PagePlusDirect.com for PIN purchases for several years, and based on my initial purchase, my discount is 8%.
This is completely FALSE. The payment for the larger discounts from PagePlusDirect.com do NOT require a checking account withdrawal. You can't even pay using a checking account withdrawal. The payment method is bank account TRANSFER from BOA, Chase, CitiBank, ING, Wells Fargo, or Serve. PagePlusDirect.com never knows your account information. YOU initiate the transfer to the account specified by PagePlusDirect.com. I can understand being apprehensive about paying with bank account transfer, because if PagePlusDirect.com were to NOT deliver the PINs purchased, you would be out that money, but ONLY that money. What you describe could NOT occur with the PagePlusDirect.com bank tranfer payment method, and you shouldn't post misinformation.
pageplusdirect's website is shady and not too east to navigate. it looks like a fly by night site and they do not take paypal. I will stick with calling mart but I never seem to find the 5% discount only the standard 3% that is everywhere.
That is your choice. I buy 5 $80 PINs/yr for the 3 phones in my family. I save $32/yr with my 8% discount. The savings would only be $12/yr at 3%, and $20/yr at 5%. So no, I don't save a ton more by using PagePlusDirect.com, but every little bit helps!
BTW, you can get the 5% CallingMart discount coupon codes by subscribing to their e-mails or by checking their Facebook page.
