I went back and deleted all the service books i loaded on the BB and installed only the one mentioned in your post and now MMS works.

    thanks!
You may have been referring to my post with the link to several different service books, from other sources, that I had saved over the years. Not to worry, yungwun911, after your input I have removed the files from the host site - the link is now dead.
I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.

Thank you haas1994 for the great info and everyone else sharing theirs. I got my Bold 9650 to work perfectly. Only took two cigars and some rereading of instructions. Thanks so much! I am a happy PP and BB user.

I want to add that the "combo" service books also work for the 9930. I got a crazy good deal on one today and ran these same steps on it and everything works flawlessly! Phone, text, internet, AND MMS!

Are you running OS5 or OS6 on that 9930?

I'm not even sure you can run a lower OS on 9930. However, I'm running OS 7!

Hi altbiers, I take it you followied post #17 by haas1994? Just want to be sure. I too have a Bold 9650, currently on Page Plus running OS6. Talk and text obviously work. Internet browsing works too. MMS does not ... Besides MMS, what else have you got to work which did not before? And was your 9650 running OS6?

    Blackberry on PagePlus

From the keypad: Dial ##000000 (Send)

You will be taken to the Service Edit screen

The only value that you should have to change from this menu (after over-the-air programming)
will be the password field. SIP Password: Change this from blank to "vzw"

Once the password has been set, press the BlackBerry "menu" key and select save.

Once the phone resets, Press the BlackBerry "menu" key and select "Options"

Select Advanced Options --> Host Routing Table

Once in the Host Routing Table, press the BlackBerry "menu" key again, and select "Register Now"

Once you receive a text message stating that you handheld has been registered, you will now be able to access the Web and MMS properly.
    8. Enable Legacy Mode using one of the following methods (you must be in Options -> Advanced Options -> Service Book):
    - ALT S ALT B ALT E ALT B
    OR
    - ALT S S ALT B ALT E ALT B
    OR
    - On the Storm, press and hold num button until it locks. You will see the lock. Then press 4?2?
    It should show Legacy Enabled.

    9. Open Blackberry Desktop Manager and load the Service Book.
    10. Go to Backup and Restore.
    11. Click Advanced.
    12. Click File and select Open.
    13. Choose the Page Plus Service Book (PagePlus_Combo_24SB.ipd), click Open.
    14. In Computer Databases section, click Service Books and click the >> button.
    15. When prompted, select Yes.
    16. You should now be using the modified Service Books.
Note: Sometimes a battery pull is needed for the modified Service Books to work.
Thank you very much, registered to thank you and also to confirm this is working on version 6 as available for the BB 9650, only thing I have not tested is mms, but internet is working great.

    Much appreciated

Edited to add that I activated the Blackberry first, then proceeded to deal with the internet issue hence, starting after OTA activation.

    Thank you.

Running a Curve 9330 on pp, was on OS5 with the above service books, everything worked except could not send MMS but could receive them(?). Last night I did the OS upgrade to OS6, talk and text work like I thought they would, Opera is working on internet with data, cannot send or receive MMS. Interested in how the Bold 9650 mentioned above turned out.

Okay, been working on this all weekend. Finally got my 9330 Curve with OS 6 working with phone, SMS, DATA and MMS. I used the Browser_via_TCP_and_BBMAPS_MMS.ipd and the directions found here http://dealer.remotesquad.com/how-to...lackberry-os-6 that I found linked on another forum.
So it is possible for an OS 6 Blackberry to have the same functionality that was considered to be on OS 5 exclusive.
