Quickest way to get that apk is to download the stock rom and extract the apk.

I don't know how to extract an apk and I'm running CM7. The camera app sucks in CM7 and I would really appreciate it if anyone has the apk for the GS2 camera app.

There may be some framework issues using Samsung apps on CM7.

However, there are some excellent free camera apps out there in the market. I've been using UCam for a few days now and it gives me much better control of the camera.

The answer is no with respect to the camera and generally no with respect to other Samsung apps.

That is disappointing. How does the galaxy Nexus take photos almost instantly and they look good while CM7 takes a very long time for a single camera shot and it's downright terrible with the flash?

The Galaxy Nexus is ICS and CM7 is Gingerbread.
