He's a coward and not much of a CEO. Rogers has been sinking since Ted passed away (RIP). BTW don't shareholders have jobs too? Cutting staff is ALWAYS the first easy way out for managerial incompetence and/or greed!
    Yes shareholders have jobs too...

Like teachers, through their pension plan, or municipal employees through OMERS...

Or you and me, through mutual funds...

Individual share holders understand that profits are needed, but will accept less to keep people employed...

Fund managers do not... They have a mandate to show XX% increase *this year*, and will throw their 20% of ownership around to achieve it..M

Funds are the root of 'corporate greed'

Nadir seems to be taking the Steve Jobs approach of eliminating non-critical initiatives so they can refocus their resources. This approach makes sense to me, and it worked for Apple. I'm curious what specific initiatives they've kiboshed though?
I would have to label the comparison of Nadir and Steve as 'most inappropriate comparison of history'. One is a paradigm changing technology innovator and changer of the world, and one is a cookie-cutter corporate hack who just follows the same old blind and destructive aims of profits now rather than later. You might as well compare Steve to Ken Lay.

Nadir is trying to boost profits in the short term so he looks better. He is killing the company in the long term. His other strategy is to hook as many people on contracts as possible. I have been basically lied to by Rogers and get @#$& service by them because they are no longer investing in the long term, and so have many other people. Everyone despises companies that work this way, and the non-stop complaints about Rogers on this form and others is a sampling of that.
