Don't think the host setting works.

    But you can try

    Host name: SFR
    Host address: sl2sfr or slsfr

What model is this? Unless it is an Android model, I'm afraid you won't be able to set up internet.

But, since you have "imode", it looks like it is not Android.

No, it is a traditional phone I believe. I think it is the P-06C (what I recall from her previous thread) and it was released among the style series of the Summer 2011 line-up. I have a CA-01C and it has the same settings under imode options.

I'm not sure if it only relates to the imode browser or its also for the "Full Browser". I've only used Sharp keitais and they don't seem to have this "host" menu.

It comes under the common settings, so I assume it relates to both imode and full browser.

Yeah, sorry, my phone is a Docomo P-06C. I can also assume both. Full browser and imode.

I am afraid this means you cannot use your own carrier's internet. Only Wi-Fi.

Sorry Kumiko211, no network outside of Japan supports the Flip / Clamshell phones which run the Docomo Symbian OS.

Has to be an Android phone if you want internet through 3G

We can only pray that the summer lineup will have an Android + Flip, but I don't think any of the Japanese manufacturers are going to be brave enough to release one (at least not in Japan)

    But we can still hope
