I just came home from my local Target and they had several on the rack, that's where I got my two R455C phones. Good luck.
Yep, TMFL and $59.99 + tax. I managed to get mine a couple weeks ago when they were on sale for $49.99. Not bad for a Tracfone CDMA phone, reception is good, voice quality is good, volume is really good IMHO. I dumped my LG231C as my CDMA phone and moved up to this one, already have a LG800G for my GSM and the touch screen wasn't for me so I avoided the LG505C plus it cost $90. Call your Target and if they have one maybe they'll hold it for you. Why it's not on the Target web site I don't know.
You just might find that there's a reason that both the online Tracfone and the Target store near you don't list a CDMA phone available in your area, it might be because the over-all coverage for your zip area just may be listed as having stronger GSM signal reception than CDMA, so acquiring a CDMA phone just may not work very well in your immediate location and maybe you might consider finding someone who has one of these phones and try it out at your location. I have a Motorola EX124 that Tracfone use to list for my home area that I really liked its features, but I had very poor reception at my house and that's why I went to this CDMA phone. If the EX124 was a CDMA compatible phone, I probably would never have gone to another phone unless for some reason it got damaged beyond repair. I keep it as a back-up camera and .mp3 player now and if for some reason I need to have a GSM phone for some reason, I can always activate it again and throw some minutes on it as I need them.
Some days are diamonds, some days are stones.
I'm in a strong GSM area, and my Target stocks the R455c. I haven't seen a CDMA phone ever; we had analog TracFones, then TDMA TracFones, then GSM TracFones. I've had to order my CDMA TracFones online for the past how many years and still have to, save for the R455c which recently popped up at Target.
Castrol EDGE 5W-30 is my drug of choice.

Question: For text messages, is the time stamp the time we open it or the time it was sent? I’m hoping it is the former, but I fear it is the latter.
I believe it's for the time it was sent to your phone.
Greetings,
I bought the R455c and its a nice phone. I bought a new case with the magnetized flap. For two days I would put it on Auto Lock, key board lock, and manually lock it. But each time I took it out of the case it was on, and half of the time the Browser was on using minutes. Anyway, for two days couldn't figure out why the Lock wasn't working. Trac Fone thought the phone was bad but it turned out that if you have a case with a magnet in it, it will mess with your settings and even turn your display sideways even when the slider is not out.
I hadn't used my Facebook app ver 2.8.1 for several days and today it wouldn't work on two different phones, my LG800G and my Samsung R455C. I went to the mobile site to update the app to ver 2.9.1 on the LG800G and it did update the app but the app still doesn't get any further than the loading page (flashing the left block forever) so I have to End the app to get out of it. I tried to update the app on the Samsung R455C and it now says my phone is not supported. Anyone else having problems with the Facebook app loading?
EDIT: After multiple attempts yesterday I tried it today and it works on the LG800G but is still giving me a message on the Samsung R455C that the device is not supported when I try to download the new version. I ran version 2.8.1 which now runs again on the R455C, opened the FB Menu, selected Upgrade, it downloaded the upgrade, and now I have version 2.9.1 running on my R455C even though my device is not supported. Now I wonder if there is any way for someone who didn't have a previous version of the FB app to get it on their R455C since every other attempt to download it (outside using Upgrade inside the app) told me to use the mobile web site because the R455C was not supported.

This phone is 39.99 at Target this week. A great deal! I'm considering a move back to this phone. Tired of having sub-quality used phones on Page Plus and crappy Sprint signal on Virgin Mobile. Ad says all airtime on sale as well. Probably 5% off. A little more if you sign up for their RedCard.
This phone (Samsung R455C) keeps turning off when i slide it open or close. Does anybody have this issue?
I mean, i have to be REALLY careful when i slide it, to keep the phone on. I have to slide it SLOWLY with pressure, to be specific. I don't think this is a common problem for other sliders out there. Should i contact Tracfone or Samsung warranty?
I have that phone but not your problem. They have the TF/Net10 OS installed which seems to build up glitches that do strange things you might think are hardware related. I'd pull the battery while it's on let it sit a couple minutes then try again so it cleans itself out. If you still have the problem contact Tracfone. This is a Samsung manufactured phone manufactured according to TF/Net10 specs with TF/Net10 OS on it, if Samsung is like LG they provide no support for the TF/Net10 versions so I wouldn't bother contacting Samsung. Just FYI there was an LG LG420G phone that LG sold and there was a Tracfone LG420G Tracfone sold, the case was the same but the innards were different, the OS was different, and the features weren't exactly the same (resolution of camera, LG's had a memory card the TF version didn't, etc). Reading posts on the LG forum was hilarious when someone was complaining about their TF/Net10 version and the LG reps were talking about the LG telling folks make sure the memory card is installed or take out the memory card or download the driver (didn't work for the TF/Net10 version).Tracfone backs the phones for a year so they'll probably send a replacement if they think it's a hardware problem. Good luck.
