What does a "C" AT&T credit rating mean?

A few people I know ordered a Nokia 900, that I know have bad credit, one of them said his FICO was about 500 and ATT approved without deposit. He ask them and they said that he has a C rating. How do the ratings go?

Btw, if you're in the same boat, order one up and wait for the FedEX guy! Do it online though!

I would imagine that a "C" rating means "average". Probably not much different than a school grading system.
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

I was thinking the same thing, but an average FICO is in the mid 600's. Tmo and Sprint want deposits from these guy's. I smell some press number pumping, MS may even be backing this. But that's a guess, so please refrain from this being a conspiracy.

I would love to see if someone who has been turned down for a car, house, or credit card, and been recently been paroled from prison, gets one!

I think you're on to something CA...

AT&T; Nokia and Microsoft want this thing to succede so bad they can taste it.

You would've thought though they wouldn't cheaped out on parts and instead gave us a REAL deal for $99.00

Not try to position OLD TECH as a premium in 2012, oh well, at least Nokia is trying... competition benefits us all!!!

If that is true then AT&T is pulling a play out of the 2001 Sprint playbook when even if you had horrible credit they would give you a phone but just put a $200 cap on the account. I guess the pressure's on not only to make the N900 a hit but to keep their number 1 spot.

The reason y att approved him 4 a phone, is because he must have a credit card or something, that is reporting to the credit bureau monthly showing good payment history, that is what they look for, u can owe mad money on your credit but if they show something with a length of time being paid, they will approve u for a phone line with no deposit because they have a history of u paying things month to month on time.

Looks like they're using the VantageScore model.
