They have a lesser data plan than smartphone. It's the 75MB one for $15 I think. There are a few phones left that don't require data.
If you don't need the unlimited plan, sell that line off for a few hundred bucks, and you can be satisfied knowing that if you get data later on, you got some value out of the unlimited plan, and you can get the 2GB one later.
I usually support government regulation, but It is unfortunate that the government over-regulated and killed the AT&T/ T-Mobile Merger
The best explanation of the pricing nutiness in the industry.
Why Sprint and T-Mo will always suck.
The only way to end the pricing insanity is to eliminate contracts and subsidies.
I want Wifi calling on AT&T.
If you text while driving, you're an idiot. End of story.
Exactly, thank you ShortSxit, i SPECIFICALLY said that i WANT to keep my number and obviously selling my line for the unlimited data is going to give that away. Please read my previous post before throwing the same idea out. Also im not trying to sound rude but i didn't want to get into my personal business too much but i had to apparently so some facts could be clear to those who were confused with why i wanted to do what i did. But i hope everything i said cleared up why im moving around like this. Although i would like to sell my moms line but problem is that since it is not a smart phone (used to be last year) and doesn't have unlimited data no one is willing to buy that line off me even though i have less than a year left and because my stupid ex had to upgrade to a smart phone and screw me for the ETF (220 now) because i have to ride it out since it makes more sense. I understand its only less than a year left but its just a tab cumbersome to pay out that line and my own in the same bill every month. Just needed to vent that last part lol.
Maybe port your number to google voice, get a new number on your unlimited data plan line, there is no etf since you are still with them, sell the line, then get a new month to month contract and port your number back or go page plus.
You might be without a phone number for a day or two, but then you profit on the unlimited data and keep your number.
More pros than cons?

Last I heard a few people have accomplished this, you just have to find knowledgable reps who are willing to help. Key words being knowledgeable and willing. The thing is your just getting rid of the number off the account but still keeping the account so you are not skipping out on money owed to them.
I no longer have unlimited data on that line that's the 2ndary. Also a buddy of mine told me that why pay for internet on my phone when I have internet access at home and paying almost the same amount which is true. Plus if you don't use the internet much why bother? Not saying anyone is wrong or anything like that its just something to point out and think about. I have an ipod touch at home so that's probably better for my money and use than paying for a data plan. Who cares about WiFi only I don't need to be on the internet 24/7 for emails and light internet use. I can live without it mostly at this point. Just a point here.

Well, like i said before right now internet on my phone is NOT a necessity anymore although when i do go to PagePlus or ST. It will be easier to have a smart phone on their network instead. In a way, sometimes i don't feel the money is worth it on Verizon for how im using it.
Actually about that link you provided i was curious, if your reactivating a new number on that line you port over, how do you get out of not putting a contract on that new line? Im just curious
It seems like my other option is to get HPC since my mom pays 20 dollars of her bill anyway which makes my bill billed like an individual plan (hope that made sense lol). Because its my ind line and my moms individual line. I can just buy a cheap HPC from Amazon to keep the cost down lol.
About that post with porting out/reactivating a new line and all that. If I do this with both numbers will I have to get another contract or will this break me free from my contract? Its about that post about porting out and all that

I have a friend who works for Verizon and she was able to complete the process for another friend of mine who just gave me his unlimited plan because he wanted to upgrade his phone and get new contract pricing. After explaining everything to her for like an hour she was able to do it he is porting his number back from Google voice and should be completed by tomorrow. There's nothing against Vzw policy that states that this is wrong. Just have to let them know that the account is not being canceled and essentially all your doing is changing the number
