Yes, it's too expensive
No, I think that's a fair price
Hey all...
I am presently using a BB 9700 on Mobilicity, and I think it's a great phone for me. But I would love to get the 9900, as I could benefit from the faster processor and extra memory/storage, not to mention the other improvements like BB7.
I have been watching the prices at Mobilicity stores, and I haven't seen any discounts on the 9900. Does anyone working at Mobilicity know if they will be dropping the price of this phone, or coming out with a special promotion any time soon?
Thing is, my 9700 does the job so I can't justify to myself to spend 549 just to have the latest phone. Especially when I paid 500 for my 9700 in late 2010. But onthe other hand I would like to upgrade, if I was to come across a nice deal.
I find it surprising that Mobilicity has not had any specials on the 9900, and whenever I visit the site I just see the usual $549 price tag for the longest time.
If anyone owns a store or works at one and can give me a good deal, please PM or write here. Thanks.

I have seen some used ones on CL and Kijiji also, but it's not too often you see them. Yes, I would prefer to get a brand new one directly from Mobilicity if they priced it a little better.![]()
It's the Least I Could Do
there are deals out there for open box items.. PM if you'd like exact pricing.
Are they going to be coming out with a new Blackberry Bold this year? If they're gonna come out with a new Bold with BB10 or whatever it's called in a few months, I wouldn't get a 9900 at $549.
I have one. It's awesome! That's why you don't see too many out there. Nice keyboard and touch screen.
Try ebay. Just make sure its an unlocked Tmobile version or it won't work with Mobilicity.
SIMCITY
not trying to advertise.. sorry if it comes off that way.. I didn't list the price exactly for that reason..
There are multiple stores who have "AS GOOD AS NEW" blackberry 9900 devices. The reason i didnt want to mention prices was because I didn't want to undercut anyone.
I simply had some discount devices available and thought I could hook the OP up or tell him which other stores have stock.
I think you might have the wrong impression of my intensions. I was just trying to help.
Thanks Mobilicitystc and everyone else, appreciate all the input. I ended up finding a used 9900 on CL and it's working great. Very happy I switched to this model!
The Torch 9810 was a complete failure???
Not sure about that. Many blackberry fans I know of only spoke of the Torch and little else back when the 9800 first came out (and the 9810 is just an extension of that).
A lot of people went ga-ga over the Torch. Not sure why, since that would be the last BB I would choose. But not offering a Torch 9810-type phone with BB 10 would be a mistake. I mean, if you're already going to make a fullscreen model, and a Bold model, how must more difficult will it be to make a Torch 9810-style model? The insides are basically the same between the Bold 9900, Torch 9810, and the Torch 9850/60.
